Held once a year on Whit Tuesday, the Tuesday after Pentecost, in the streets of Echternach, ending at the Basilica of Saint Willibrord. Organised by the Willibrordus-Bauverein and inscribed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage in 2010. The date moves with Easter between mid-May and mid-June: next on 18 May 2027, then around 6 June 2028; it repeats every Whit Tuesday.

The 150th-anniversary edition ran in 2023; the next, the XXVIII celebration, is confirmed for 30 June to 9 July 2028.
