Paragliding in InterlakenCH
The launch point for Bernese Oberland adventure. Paragliding from Beatenberg, skydiving over the Alps, and access to Eiger north face.
Why here
The Bernese Oberland is paragliding's greatest showroom. Launch from Beatenberg or Mürren, fly with the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau filling the horizon, and land on the green valley floor below. The altitude differential, consistent thermals off the limestone walls, and faultless infrastructure make this the world's most-run tandem corridor and a serious cross-country training ground.
Best months
Thermals build reliably from late morning through mid-afternoon in summer. Valley winds can strengthen by early afternoon in peak season — morning flights are more settled. Winter flights operate on calm days from Beatenberg; visibility can be exceptional during stable high-pressure systems.
Getting there & around
Beatenberg is the primary launch site, about 15 minutes from Interlaken by cable car and bus. Multiple licensed operators in town; walk-in tandem flights are possible but advance booking is strongly recommended July through August. The landing field is central Interlaken, walkable to most accommodation.
