Privacy Policy

ReasonToGo operates reasontogo.com. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Email address. If you enter your email in our newsletter signup or ICP quiz, we store it to send you occasional updates about new destinations and activities. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or pass it to third parties for their own use.

Quiz result. Your traveler profile from the quiz is saved in your browser (localStorage). It is sent to our servers only if you also provide your email.

Analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data: pages visited, features used, search activity. This data is processed on EU servers and is not linked to your identity unless you have provided your email.

Session recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity to record mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling to understand how people use the site. Clarity may capture content visible on your screen during a session.

What we do not collect

  • We run no advertising and have no ad network integrations.
  • We do not sell data.
  • We do not build profiles for resale.
  • We have no user accounts and store no passwords.
  • We do not collect payment information.

Third-party services

  • PostHog (analytics) -- EU servers. See their privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
  • Microsoft Clarity (session recording) -- see microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/privacy.
  • Supabase (database) -- EU/Frankfurt servers. See supabase.com/privacy.

Cookies and local storage

PostHog and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to track sessions and usage. We also use browser localStorage to save your quiz result between visits. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any message we send. To request deletion of your email address or any data we hold about you, contact us at hello@reasontogo.com. EU residents have rights under GDPR including access, correction, erasure, and portability. California residents may have rights under CCPA. We will respond to any request within 30 days.
