Best months
Visibility 20-30m at reef sites; Thistlegorm visibility variable 10-25m depending on traffic. Water temp 20-27°C. Currents moderate at Ras Mohammed — drift past Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks, and barracuda schools. SS Thistlegorm lies at 15-30m; main cargo hold 26-30m. Dolphins at Dolphin Reef most mornings.
Getting there & around
Direct charter and scheduled flights from UK and Europe. Egyptian e-visa or on-arrival for most nationalities. All dive operations in Naama Bay — walkable strip. Thistlegorm liveaboards typically 2-night, depart from Sharm. Red Sea corridor liveaboards (Thistlegorm, Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone) also available. No car needed.
