Scuba Diving in PalauPW
A remote Pacific archipelago with world-class drift diving at Blue Corner, Jellyfish Lake snorkeling, and dozens of WWII wrecks. Strong currents, massive shark aggregations, and near-pristine reef.
Why here
Blue Corner is the most celebrated dive site in Micronesia. Hook into the wall in 1-3 knots of current and watch grey reef sharks, whitetips, barracuda, and Napoleon wrasse pass at eye level. Add the largest WWII wreck graveyard in the Pacific, Jellyfish Lake, and German Channel manta cleaning station — Palau is the most complete advanced dive destination in the Pacific.
Best months
Visibility 15-40m. Water temp 27-30°C. Blue Corner: hook dive at 10-30m in 1-3 knot current; reef hook mandatory, supplied by operators. Massive grey reef and whitetip shark aggregations most mornings. Jellyfish Lake: snorkel only (no tanks), stingless jellyfish in a brackish lake. WWII wrecks: Helmet Wreck, Jake Seaplane, Zero Fighter at 15-40m, penetrable. German Channel: manta cleaning station, reliable. Nautilus encounters possible at depth off outer walls.
