Scuba Diving in High Springs
The town at the centre of Florida cave country, within reach of Ginnie Springs, Devil's Ear, Peacock and Madison Blue.
Why here
The densest concentration of underwater cave systems anywhere in the world, and the place people fly to in order to get cave certified. Ginnie Springs, Devil's Ear, Peacock and Madison Blue are all within a short drive.
Best months
Cave diving is overhead environment diving and kills the untrained. Full cave certification through NSS-CDS or NACD is not optional. Spring flow is constant at 22C year round, so there is no season, but heavy rain can push tannic river water into the systems and destroy visibility.
