Scuba Diving in Chania

Blue Adventures Diving is a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center established in 1993, with a base at Epimenidou 1 by Chania's Old Harbour and a second at Marathi on the Akrotiri peninsula. PADI's directory lists six instructors teaching in English and Greek, from beginner programs to professional level, alongside boat dives, snorkelling and freediving trips. Regular sites include the Elephant Cave, Seal Cave and the Wall.

Chania Diving Center, operating since 2012, is an SSI Instructor Training Center with its dive base at Agiou Onoufriou 10B and an information office at Arxoleon 1 & Kanevaro by the Old Venetian Harbour. Its instructors also hold PADI and IANTD credentials, and the technical range runs to trimix, cave and rebreather training under instructor Nikolas Giannoulakis, with nitrox, oxygen and trimix fills. The centre works to a maximum of four divers per instructor; listed sites include the Elephant Cave and a Messerschmitt BF-109 wreck.

Omega Divers, established in 2011, runs its main dive centre at Almyrida and a shop at Kanevarou 3a in Chania town. PADI's directory rates it a 5 Star IDC Resort with ten instructors teaching in English, Spanish, French, German, Greek and Russian, open daily 9:00 to 19:00 with air and nitrox fills, DPV rental and a dive boat. Courses run from discover scuba through instructor development, and it also operates as a PADI licensed snorkelling centre.
