Zlatibor's open, rolling plateau makes some of Serbia's most dependable tandem paragliding: launches from the Cigota ridge at 1,422 meters, gentle thermals over meadow and pine, and landings by the resort town below. The pilot bench is deep for a small country: the local operations are flown by pilots with four-figure tandem counts and insurance included, at prices that make a first flight an easy yes. The plateau's resort infrastructure, Serbia's favorite mountain retreat, means the non-flying half of a traveling pair has a full day of their own.
Best months
May to September is the reliable window inside an April-to-October season; mornings and late afternoons fly smoothest. Tandem passengers need nothing but the weight range, roughly 15 to 125 kilograms. Weather days re-book easily.
Getting there & around
Zlatibor is three and a half hours from Belgrade with constant bus service. Flights meet in the resort center; the Gold Gondola up Tornik fills the rest of the day.
