The Cervantino is Latin America's largest performing-arts festival, and Guanajuato is a stage no festival ground can imitate: a UNESCO World Heritage silver city whose plazas, tunnels, and the gilded Teatro Juarez become the venues for two October weeks. The 2026 edition, the 54th, programs 212 performances by 2,746 artists from 29 countries with France as guest of honor, backed federally by the Secretaria de Cultura since 1972.
