A Origem – Escola de Vinhos

School

A Origem is a wine school at Rua de Guerra Junqueiro 604 in Porto, formerly known as Direct Wine, and is a WSET Approved Programme Provider. It teaches the WSET Level 1, 2 and 3 Awards in Wines alongside its own courses on Portuguese wines and Port wine. The school is directed by Raul Riba D'Ave and Manuel Lima, both holders of the WSET Level 4 Diploma, publishes its course calendar with dates through January 2027, and teaches from a Portuguese-language programme.

Plansel International Wine School

School

The only WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Approved Programme Provider in Portugal authorized to deliver WSET qualifications nationwide, with courses running in Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, and the Alentejo. Programs cover WSET Levels 1 through 3 alongside a Portuguese Wines specialization exploring the country's 14 wine regions, primary grape varieties, and food pairing traditions. The main Lisbon venue is the Instituto Superior de Agronomia.
