Wine / Spirits Education in Jerez de la FronteraES

The capital of the Sherry Triangle, where flamenco, horses, and the world's most singular wine share one Andalusian city.

Why here

Sherry is the world's most singular wine education: biological ageing under a living veil of flor yeast and the fractional solera system exist at scale nowhere else on earth, and the body that regulates it, the Consejo Regulador, Spain's oldest D.O. council, teaches it itself. The Certified Sherry Educator course runs two and a half days of theory, tastings, and bodega visits across all three Sherry Triangle towns, with a formal exam; Bodegas Lustau adds the Certified Sherry Wine Specialist credential in association with the council. Between courses, the historic bodegas of Gonzalez Byass and Tradicion open cathedral-dark cellars daily, and the city's flamenco and horse cultures fill the same trip.

Year-round; the flagship educator courses run once per language per year, Spanish in spring and English in autumn, so apply months ahead. September brings harvest. Bodega courses and deep tastings book two to four weeks out.
