Witness / Attend in Wimbledon
Jun 28 – Jul 11, 2027Confirmed
Run by All England Lawn Tennis Club, with published dates and a real program.
Dates & details verified against: Official event site ↗
Why go
Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, played since 1877 and still the only Grand Slam on grass, and its rituals are the experience: the all-white dress code, strawberries and cream, Henman Hill under the big screen, and above all The Queue, the last great mega-event tradition where an unticketed traveller who arrives early enough simply walks in. Show-court tickets run through the public ballot and official hospitality, but grounds passes from The Queue put you feet from top-fifty matches on the outside courts all day. The All England Club runs museum and grounds tours year-round, so the pairing is not only a July story, though July is the point.
When it runs
The Championships run a fortnight from late June into July.
