Why go

London Fashion Week is the most eclectic of the Big 4, experimental, diverse, and less luxury-focused. It is where emerging designers and streetwear culture have historically intersected with high fashion, and where the schedule includes genuinely unconventional venues (warehouses, car parks, historic buildings) alongside the official BFC programme at 180 Strand. Public-facing presentations, installations, and open events offer more genuine access points than Paris or Milan.

When it runs

Two seasons: womenswear in mid-February, and again in mid-September/early October.

What to expect

Two seasons: womenswear in mid-February, and again in mid-September/early October. London in February is cold and grey; September is the preferred window. The schedule is a mix of established houses and emerging talent, more democratic in energy than the continental shows. The BFC publishes a public programme alongside the main schedule.

Getting there & around

London is exceptionally well-connected by Eurostar, multiple airports, and coach. Fashion week is centered around 180 Strand in the South Bank but spreads across East London, Shoreditch, and King's Cross. Check the BFC website for public events, installations, and open presentations running alongside the main schedule, they genuinely exist and are often excellent.
