Skiing & Snowsports in Jackson HoleUS

Wyoming's definitive big-mountain resort: 1,262 meters of continuous vertical, Corbet's Couloir, an open-gate backcountry policy, and the Tetons behind it all.

Why here

Jackson Hole is the American big-mountain benchmark: 1,262 meters of continuous vertical, Corbet's Couloir as the sport's most famous test piece, and an open-gate policy that turns the resort into a backcountry trailhead. What makes it a destination rather than a pilgrimage is the teaching: the four-day Steep and Deep camps pair expert coaching with video analysis in exactly the terrain you came for, and Exum, North America's oldest guide service with 90-plus years in the Tetons, guides backcountry days into Grand Teton National Park itself. This is where strong skiers go to become formidable on skis, in the best sense.

The season runs December to early April; the camps concentrate in January and February when the snowpack is deepest. This is an intermediate-to-expert mountain by temperament. Avalanche gear is provided on guided backcountry programs; camps sell out early.
