Why here

Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB is the reason to be in Ordino in June, the Andorran round of the global UTMB World Series and one of the toughest, most scenic weeks on the trail-running calendar. The event took over from the long-running Andorra Ultra Trail and now runs five distances out of Ordino, from a 10 kilometre taster to the 105 kilometre Ultra with 6,800 metres of climbing over the high ridges of the Pyrenees. Runners chase Running Stones toward a place at the UTMB Mont-Blanc finals in Chamonix, and the northern parish of stone villages fills with an international field. Whether you race the short course or watch the Ultra grind through the mountain aid stations, it is trail running at altitude in one of Europe's smallest countries.

The races run over a long weekend in mid-June, when the high passes are mostly clear but can still hold late snow and turn cold and wet fast above 2,000 metres. The longer distances go through the night, so mandatory kit lists apply, and mountain weather can reshape a course. Ordino village is the hub for the start, finish and expo.

Getting there & around

Moderate logistics

Ordino is about a 20 minute drive north of Andorra la Vella and reachable by parish bus; the country has no airport or train, so most arrive via Barcelona or Toulouse. Entries open months ahead on the UTMB World Series site and the popular distances sell out. Accommodation is spread across Ordino and the nearby capital, so book early for race week.
