Tomorrowland is the most famous electronic music festival on earth, and it takes over the De Schorre park in the small town of Boom, halfway between Antwerp and Brussels, for two weekends every July. Since its first edition in 2005 it has become the benchmark for large-scale dance festivals, built around a vast fairytale mainstage that is designed and rebuilt to a new theme each year, in 2026 a chapter called Consciencia. Around 400,000 people attend across the two weekends, drawn from more than 200 countries, spread over sixteen stages that host most of the biggest names in house, techno and mainstream dance music. What sets it apart from a normal festival is the world-building: the decor, costumes, opening ceremony and its own on-site DreamVille campsite turn the weekend into an immersive production rather than a run of concerts. Tickets sell out worldwide within minutes, so attending takes planning well ahead.
Best months
Tomorrowland runs across two weekends in mid to late July at De Schorre in Boom. In 2026 the first weekend is 17 to 19 July and the second is 24 to 26 July, with the lineup broadly repeated across both. Tickets are sold through a global pre-registration and sale system months in advance and sell out almost immediately, and there is no gate sale. July weather in Belgium is mild but can turn wet, and the site is a former clay quarry, so pack for both sun and mud.
Getting there & around
De Schorre lies in Boom, about 16km south of Antwerp and 32km from Brussels. Most visitors use the festival's Global Journey travel packages or the official shuttle buses that run from Brussels Airport, Antwerp and Brussels city, as parking and local transport are limited during the event. Many stay at the on-site DreamVille campsite, which opens for the full weekend; nearby hotels in Antwerp and Brussels fill early and require a booked shuttle or train connection.
