Art Film Fest runs for about a week in June in Kosice. June weather is warm and suits the open-air screenings, though evenings can cool. OrganizerART FILM FEST s.r.o. organizes the International Film Festival Art Film, one of Slovakia's oldest and largest film events, now held each June in Kosice. Its program mixes new international cinema, film history and a full survey of Slovak production, and its signature honors are the Golden Camera, given for a lasting contribution to cinema, and the Actor's Mission award.
