Eighty seven miles of flat crushed-limestone towpath along the old canal, with a scenic railroad running parallel that will carry you and your bike one way so you only ride the direction you want.

Flat and beginner-friendly. The Bike Aboard service on the scenic railroad lets riders return by train, which is what makes a long one-way day practical.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
OutfitterNonprofit excursion railway running through Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the operator the National Park Service sends visitors to for the train. Its Bike Aboard service carries cyclists and bikes back up the valley. Phone 330-439-5708.
